There have been many incidents that concerned privacy issues amongst users and most of them state that they were unaware of who was able to see what they placed or posted online.

Negativity and Content

People around the world can post anything online, and if they do it on big social media platforms,it will be most likely that a lot of people may be able to view it.

There are many kids who are on Social Media, and according to guardchild.com, 55% of the parents who had kids under 12 years old said that their kid/s were on social media. This means that approximately 55% of kids under 12 years old have access to any post strangers put online which could possibly require strong parental guidance. This can possibly give bad morals and ideas as their young minds and morals are still developing and growing.

Kids aren’t the only victims of Social Media Content. There has been numerous cases where Social Media was a big factor for a users mental issues. Comparisons of likes and Sleep Deprivation are some of the many reasons users pick up mental issues

There has also been a number of incidents that can destroy relationships between users. A lot of friendships have been lost because of a sensitive post or comment and there are also a lot of cyber bullying that has occurred on big Social Media Platforms.

Being Inactive

With all the interactions you can do with your phone, many people find it pointless to go outside, and that is a really bad thing as people should be active and do some outdoor activities once in a while.

Social Media has proven to be one of the most addicting things in the world, and a lot of user would prefer to stay at home to socialise than to actually hang out with friends in real life, causing many users to be idle and inactive.

Social Media has its ups and downs and it is really hard to “miss out on the action” that is happening around the world, but we must always be careful when we use these platforms as it may negatively affect our lives.
